The Ravel-Lyatoshynsky project of the Tchalik Quartet aims to explore the unexpected connection between these two composers against a backdrop of a retro-futuristic aesthetic inspired by the works of Alexandra Exter. To do this, we built a cardboard set of colored geometric shapes directly inspired by the work of this pioneer. Within this miniature-shaped set, perched on four cubes of different heights, the four musicians reinterpret Ravel's Quartet from the angle of a wild expressiveness, rather than the almost routine one of color through the coupling with Debussy's Quartet. The second clip made during this session, also available on Youtube, focuses on Lyatoshynsky's 3rd Quartet.
